Accessibility

Last updated on

Option Way is committed to making its digital services accessible, in accordance with article 47 of French law no. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005 and with the European accessibility requirements applicable to e-commerce and passenger transport services (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

This page brings together the accessibility statement, the multi-year accessibility plan and the annual action plan for the digital services published by Option Way.

1. Accessibility statement

Compliance status

The digital services published by Option Way are declared non-compliant with the French general accessibility improvement framework (RGAA), version 4.1.2.

This statement is provisional: the compliance audit is under way and no compliance rate has been measured yet. Where no audit has been completed, the "non-compliant" status applies by default; it does not prejudge the actual level of accessibility of the services, which the audit will establish.

This page will be updated once the assessment is complete, in order to include the full accessibility statement: compliance status revised in the light of the measured rate, list of non-accessible content, any exemptions and the test environment.

Provisional timetable

  1. Completion of the RGAA audit
  2. From 9 November 2026Roll-out of the priority corrective actions
  3. Publication of the full accessibility statement

Technologies used

The digital services published by Option Way rely on the following technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (Vue.js and Nuxt), SVG and WAI-ARIA.

Drafting of this statement

This provisional statement was drawn up on 31 August 2026. It will be updated once the RGAA audit is complete, then reviewed at least every three years, whenever the website is substantially modified, or within 18 months of the publication of a new version of the framework.

2. Multi-year accessibility plan 2026-2028

Accessibility policy

Digital accessibility is part of the Option Way strategy: everyone, whatever their disability, must be able to search for, compare and book a flight on our digital services. This ambition translates into the following commitments for the 2026-2028 period:

  • reach and then maintain the highest possible level of RGAA compliance, with the objective of a fully or largely compliant website by the end of 2028;
  • build accessibility into the design of new features and of every new journey ("accessibility by design");
  • treat every report from a user with a disability as a priority.

Governance and resources

  • Digital accessibility officer: Option Way, reachable at rgaa@optionway.com .
  • The product and development team completed accessibility awareness training on 9 October 2025; further training is planned over the period covered by this plan.
  • External skills (audit, RGAA expertise) are called upon as needed.

Scope

This plan covers all the digital services published by Option Way:

  • the optionway.com website, where Option Way offers flight search and booking directly to travellers;
  • the search and booking engine supplied to our partners and deployed under their own brand (white label), together with the "powered by Option Way" notice.

For these white-label sites, responsibility is shared: Option Way is responsible for the accessibility of the booking engine and of the journeys it generates; the publisher of the partner website is responsible for the accessibility of the surrounding pages and publishes its own accessibility statement.

Any change of scope (new services, new applications, new partners) will be included in the annual updates of this plan.

Projects and procurement

  • Accessibility requirements (RGAA / EN 301 549) are built into the specifications of new developments.
  • Accessibility is taken into account when choosing suppliers and third-party solutions (widgets, payment tools, partner-supplied content), within the limits of what those third parties allow.

Monitoring and maintaining the level of accessibility

  • Full RGAA audit on a representative sample of pages, including at least one booking journey deployed under a partner brand, followed by a counter-audit after the major fixes.
  • Accessibility tests built into the acceptance process for significant website changes.
  • Update of the accessibility statement after every substantial change, and at least every three years.

This plan covers the 2026-2028 period. It is broken down each year into an annual action plan and will be updated at least once a year.
